THE ROSEAU BOYS HOCKEY TEAM OPENED THEIR SEASON WITH A 2-1 OVERTIME LOSS IN THIEF RIVER FALLS LAST NIGHT. THE PROWLERS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A 5-3 POWER PLAY IN THE 2ND AND WOULD SCORE THE GAME WINNER WITH JUST 44 SECONDS REMAINING IN OT. JUDD GINTHER HAD THE LOAN RAMS GOAL

 

ROSEAU GIRLS HOCKEY WAS ALSO IN THIEF RIVER LAST NIGHT, WHERE THE RAMS PICKED UP A 5-1 WIN.

 

IN OTHER BOYS HOCKEY, WARROAD DOUBLES UP BEMIDJI 4-2… EAST GRAND FORKS SHUTOUT DETROIT LAKES 4-0… AND MAYBE AN EARLY MESSAGE SENT IN SECTION 8AA WITH MOORHEAD CLOBBERING BRAINERD 6-0.

 

IN OTHER GIRLS HOCKEY, WARROAD SHUTOUT BEMIDJI 7-0.

 

AREA GIRLS BASKETBALL, THE NORTHERN FREEZE WAS A 59-47 WINNER OVER FOSSTON… KITTSON COUNTY CENTRAL’S DEFENSE STIFLED WIN-E-MAC IN A 50-20 VICTORY… AND STEPHEN-ARGYLE GOT PAST GOODRIDGE-GRYGLA 61-48.
