ROSEAU’S GUS VATNSDAL IS THE SECTION 8AA BOYS GOLF CHAMPION. VATNSDAL SHOT 3 UNDER PAR 69 YESTERDAY IN BEMIDJI, FOR A TWO STROKE WIN; HE WAS FIVE OVER PAR FOR THE TWO-DAY TOURNAMENT, WITH A 149 TOTAL.
THE RAMS’ JUDD GINTHER SHOT 159 AND FINISHED 8TH.
AS A TEAM, ROSEAU WAS SECOND, 20 STROKES BEHIND DETROIT LAKES.

ROSEAU GIRLS GOLFERS WERE 6TH; DETROIT LAKES ALSO WON THE 8AA GIRLS TEAM TITLE. THE RAMS’ KILAH LaPLANTE SHOT 187 OVER TWO DAYS.

 

THE NASHVILLE PREDATORS OF THE N.H.L. HIRED DAN LAMBERT AS AN ASSISTANT COACH; HE’S BEEN THE HEAD COACH OF THE WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE SPOKANE CHIEFS THE PAST TWO YEARS.

BUT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE DENIED A REQUEST TO CREATE A THIRD CLASS FOR MINNESOTA TENNIS.
THE LEAGUE ALSO SAID NO TO A 35 SECOND SHOT CLOCK IN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL.

 

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL – IN SECTION 8AA, NOAH ROONEY STRUCK OUT ELEVEN AND PERHAM BEAT EAST GRAND FORKS 8-3 YESTERDAY. THE GREEN WAVE PLAY BRECKENRIDGE TOMORROW, WITH THE WINNER NEEDING TO BEAT PERHAM TWICE TO ADVANCE TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT.
IN SECTION 8A, NORMAN COUNTY EAST BEAT RED LAKE COUNTY AND FOSSTON, AND WILL FACE EAST GRAND FORKS SACRED HEART TOMORROW FOR A SECTION TITLE.
