ROSEAU’S BOYS TRACK TEAM FINISHED 2ND (BEHIND EAST GRAND FORKS) AT THE SUBSECTION 31-A MEET YESTERDAY IN WARREN; CROOKSTON WAS THE GIRLS TEAM WINNER, WITH WARROAD 4TH AND ROSEAU 5TH.

ON THE BOYS SIDE, BEN OLSON WON THE HUNDRED METER DASH AND JERE BENDER THE TRIPLE JUMP, AND BOTH WERE PART OF A WINNING FOUR BY FOUR RELAY, WITH LUKE TANGEN AND JED DUNHAM. DUNHAM AND STEELE WALSH WERE 2ND AND 3RD IN HIGH JUMP; JACOB LINDEMANN WON THE DISCUS; KYLE ERICKSON WAS 2ND IN THE 300 METER HURDLES, AND 3RD IN THE 1600 METER RUN; DAVID NELSON WAS 3RD IN THE 800, AND PETER VANDEWEGHE 3RD IN THE 110 METER HURDLES.

WARROAD’S KALVIN KEOMANY WAS 2ND IN THE TRIPLE JUMP, AND WESTON BRING OF B-G-MR/FREEZE WAS 2ND IN THE POLE VAULT.

ON THE GIRLS SIDE, ROSEAU’S NIKKI ALARUS, SOPHIE HELGESON, ROSEMOND STROOT AND CELINE STROOT WON THE FOUR BY 100 RELAY; WARROAD’S ABIGAIL BLEESS, ELIANA BLEESS, REBECCA HEPPNER AND OLIVIA GOULET WON THE FOUR BY EIGHT RELAY. ELIANA BLEESS WON THE 800 METER RUN; ABIGAIL BLEESS WAS 2ND IN THE 400 AND MADELEINE BLEESS WAS 3RD IN THE 100 METER DASH.
THE RAMS’ RYLIE BJERKLIE WON THE HIGH JUMP; SOPHIE HELGESON WAS 2ND IN BOTH THE 100 AND 200 METER DASHES.

IN SUBSECTION 29A, ISAAC DYKSTRA OF LAKE OF THE WOODS WAS THE 3200 METER WINNER.

 

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL PLAYOFFS – IN SECTION 8AA, PARK RAPIDS BEAT WARROAD 6-1; AND THE WARRIORS WERE ELIMINATED IN A 7-2 LOSS TO EAST GRAND FORKS.

IN SECTION 8A, B-G-MR CRUSHED THE NORTHERN FREEZE 21-1; MAKENNA BURSLIE SCORED THREE RUNS, AND ELLA KOEBERNICK DROVE IN THREE.
THE GATORS THEN SHUT OUT RED LAKE FALLS 10-0, JOINING NORMAN COUNTY EAST AS THAT TOURNAMENT’S ONLY UNBEATEN TEAMS.
THE NORTHERN FREEZE STAYED ALIVE WITH A 13-12 ELIMINATION GAME DECISION OVER LAKE OF THE WOODS; JADYN JOHNSON HAD 3 HITS, INCLUDING A HOMERUN, FOR THE FREEZE.

 

SECTION 8A BASEBALL – TOP SEED B-G-MR TEN-RUNNED KITTSON COUNTY CENTRAL 11-1; K.C.C. HAD BEATEN THE NORTHERN FREEZE 12-10 IN A PLAY/IN GAME.
THE LAKE OF THE WOODS SEASON ENDED WITH A 6-2 LOSS TO WIN-E-MAC; AIDEN TOM HAD A HIT AND AN RBI FOR THE BEARS.

IN A REGULAR SEASON BASEBALL FINALE, EAST GRAND FORKS EDGED WARROAD 7-6.
