ROSEAU’S GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM RETURNED HOME WITH A  3RD PLACE STATE CLASS “AA” TROPHY,  AFTER OVERWHELMING ALBANY  81-43 SATURDAY AFTERNOON.   KACIE BOROWICZ SCORED 37 POINTS IN HER LAST HIGH SCHOOL GAME.  KATIE BOROWICZ BROKE A FORTY YEAR OLD STATE TOURNAMENT RECORD WITH 20 ASSISTS.    THE RAMS HAVE FINISHED FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD THE PAST THREE YEARS AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT.

WARROAD BEAT OSSEO-MAPLE GROVE  2-1 YESTERDAY FOR THE STATE CLASS “A” BANTAM HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP.   WARROAD HAD BEATEN EDINA  5-3 IN THE SEMIFINALS SATURDAY.  WARROAD WON THE STATE CLASS “A” PEE-WEE CHAMPIONSHIP LAST YEAR.

IN OTHER YOUTH HOCKEY STATE TOURNAMENTS,  WARROAD’S  PEE-WEES LOST  4-2 TO EAST GRAND FORKS IN THE CLASS “A” 3RD PLACE GAME.  ORONO BLASTED EDINA  7-1 IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

IN PEE-WEE “AA”,  EDEN PRAIRIE BEAT WOODBURY  2-1 IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME;  CHASKA-CHANHASSEN TOPPED STILLWATER 5-2 FOR THE CONSOLATION TITLE.   CHASKA-CHANHASSEN ENDED ROSEAU’S SEASON WITH A  7-4 WIN SATURDAY.

AT THE BANTAM “AA” TOURNAMENT,  OSSEO-MAPLE GROVE SHUT OUT CHASKA-CHANHASSEN  5-0 IN THE TITLE TILT.  PRIOR LAKE/SAVAGE BEAT MOORHEAD FOR THE CONSOLATION CROWN.   PRIOR LAKE/SAVAGE EDGED ROSEAU  1-0 SATURDAY.

THE MINNESOTA STATE/MOORHEAD WOMENS BASKETBALL SEASON ENDED SATURDAY WITH A  71-60 NCAA REGIONAL SEMIFINAL LOSS TO FORT HAYS STATE.  ROSEAU’S  KILEY BOROWICZ SCORED 13 POINTS FOR MOORHEAD STATE.
