THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD,  YESTERDAY,  APPROVED AN AGREEMENT WITH NORTHWEST COMMUNITY ACTION OF BADGER TO ADMINISTER THE  “CARES”  ACT FUNDING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COUNTY. ROSEAU COUNTY HAS ABOUT  ONE-POINT-NINE MILLION DOLLARS AVAILABLE FOR CORONAVIRUS COSTS.

ROSEAU COUNTY AUDITOR  MARTIE MONSRUD WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC ACCURACY TEST OF ELECTION EQUIPMENT TO BE USED IN THE AUGUST 11TH PRIMARY ELECTION NEXT THURSDAY  (August 6/ 1 p.m.)  IN THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARDROOM.

A DETOUR ON HIGHWAY  172 NEAR BAUDETTE STARTS MONDAY,  AS CREWS WILL BE INSTALLING THREE BOX CULVERTS IN PHASE ONE;  AND RESURFACING STARTS IN STAGE TWO OF THE PROJECT,  WHICH IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED BY MID-OCTOBER.THE STAGE ONE DETOUR USES HIGHWAY ELEVEN AND LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY ROAD SIX.

ROSEAU IS FEATURED IN TODAY’S GRAND FORKS HERALD, IN A SERIES OF STORIES,  PRIMARILY FOCUSSED ON  COVID-19 RESPONSE.ROSEAU WAS ONE OF SIX CITIES CHOSEN BY THE HERALD FOR FEATURES SPREAD OVER SEVERAL WEEKS.

42 YEAR OLD  JASON ROBERT OF PARK RAPIDS WAS KILLED WHEN HIS MOTORCYCLE HIT A DEER EARLY YESTERDAYMORNING  (1:15 A.M.)  ON HIGHWAY  34 EAST OF PARK RAPIDS.

79 YEAR OLD JUDITH ALBERT OF BUCKEYE,  ARIZONA WAS TAKEN TO A GRAND RAPIDS HOSPITAL WITH NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES AFTER A TWO VEHICLE CRASH LAST NIGHT  (9:40 P.M.)  ON HIGHWAY 46,  JUST SOUTH OF NORTHOME. SHE WAS STRUCK BY A VOLVO SEMI WHILE SLOWING TO TURN.
