A CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR CHRIST  LEY  (krist  lay)  OF WARROAD IS TOMORROW AFTERNOON AFTER FOUR AT THE HOME OF CHRIST AND MARLENE LEY. CHRIST  LEY  WAS  69.

THE ROSEAU COUNTY AUDITOR’S OFFICE SAYS A BALLOT DROP BOX IS AVAILABLE AT THE COURTHOUSE FOR ALL ABSENTEE OR MAIL  BALLOT  VOTERS. MAIL BALLOTS WILL BE MAILED OCTOBER  5TH.

THE  46TH ANNUAL MIDDLE RIVER GOOSE FESTIVAL IS THIS WEEKEND. THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, THIS WEEK,  RE-APPOINTED ASSESSOR LIZ LUND TO ANOTHER FOUR YEAR TERM.

THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD,  THIS WEEK,  HAD A LENGTHY DISCUSSION ABOUT ONCE-A-WEEK EARLY OUTS FOR STUDENTS,  LIKELY ON FRIDAY AFTERNOONS. BOARD MEMBER JODEE HAUGEN ADVOCATED FOR THE CHANGE, SAYING IT WOULD GIVE STAFF TIME TO RECOVER AND PREPARE DURING THEIR PANDEMIC TEACHING ADJUSTMENTS.

SINGING EVANGELIST JEFFREY  HELSIUS,  A FORMER KARLSTAD RESIDENT,  WILL PERFORM ORIGINAL GOSPEL MUSIC AT GRACE EVANGELICAL CHURCH IN STRATHCONA STARTING SUNDAY MORNING.
