THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD HAS APPROVED A  SAFE LEARNING RETURN TO SCHOOL PLAN, WHICH SUPERINTENDENT TOM JEROME CALLED A  “DRAFT’.  JEROME SAID THE PLAN CANNOT COVER EVERY EVENTUALITY.MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF MEMBERS. NO UNNECESSARY VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE SCHOOL BUILDING AT ANY TIME;AND THE SCHOOL WILL BE LOCKED DOWN –  MEANING THE SWIMMING POOL,  FITNESS CENTER AND WALKING TRACK REMAIN CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. A LETTER TO PARENTS DETAILING THE PLAN FOR IN-PERSON LEARNING WILL BE SENT THIS WEEK.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES FOR ELEANOR JOHNSON OF ROSEAU ARE THIS AFTERNOON AT TWO  AT THE MALUNG CEMETERY.   THERE WILL BE TENTS AND CHAIRS,  AND MINNESOTA COVID GUIDELINES WILL BE FOLLOWED.ELEANOR JOHNSON WAS  90.

THE PERSONAL  FINANCE WEBSITE  WalletHub  HAS RELEASED IT’S LIST OF THE STATES WITH THE MOST UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN,  TOPPED BY NEW MEXICO,  MISSISSIPPI AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. NORTH DAKOTA WAS 37TH AND MINNESOTA  45TH ON THAT LIST.

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD,  THIS WEEK,  APPROVED FINAL PAYMENTS ON BRIDGE PROJECTS ON COUNTY ROAD 119  AND COUNTY DITCH  23.

A BACK TO SCHOOL SALE,  WITH ALL KIDS CLOTHING ITEMS PRICED AT FIFTY CENTS,  IS SUNDAY AFTERNOON  (2-5 PM)  AT THE ROSEAU CITY CENTER. ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE ROSEAU FOOD SHELF AND ROSEAU SCHOOL BACKPACK PROGRAM.
