THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL,  THIS WEEK,  DELAYED ACTION ON AN ABATEMENT OF A BUILDING AT THE INTERSECTION OF MAIN AVENUE AND HIGHWAY ELEVEN UNTIL AFTER THE CITY’S CONTRACTED BUILDING INSPECTOR MEETS WITH OWNER KARL NELSON.

AT A MONDAY EVENING PUBLIC HEARING,  NELSON ADMITTED THE REPAIR WORK ON THE BUILDING  “HAS TAKEN TOO LONG TO GET DONE”,

AND SAID HE IS CURRENTLY  “ADDRESSING THE HAZARDOUS CONDITION OF THAT BUILDING”.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNCIL ACCEPTED THE RESIGNATION OF PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE CHAD JOHNSON.

 

THE WARROAD SCHOOLS LOCAL INDIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE MEETS THIS EVENING  (5 PM)  AT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT CONFERENCE ROOM.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR HARRY FRANK KALINOWSKI, FORMERLY OF GREENBUSH, WILL BE HELD SATURDAY (10:30 AM) AT BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH IN GREENBUSH. VISITATION WILL BE FRIDAY (6-7 PM) WITH A 7 PM PRAYER SERVICE ALSO AT THE CHURCH. INTERMENT WILL BE AT BLESSED SACRAMENT CEMETERY IN GREENBUSH. HARRY KALINOWSKI WAS 85.
