THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, YESTERDAY, UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED A RESOLUTION DELAYING PENALTIES AND INTEREST ON FIRST HALF PROPERTY TAXES UNTIL AFTER JULY 15TH,
IN AN ATTEMPT TO EASE THE BURDEN ON CORONAVIRUS-AFFECTED TAXPAYERS.
FIRST HALF TAXES ARE DUE BY MAY 15TH; THE COUNTY’S RESOLUTION ASKS THAT THOSE WHO CAN PAY BY NEXT WEEK PLEASE DO, AS THOSE TAXES ARE DISTRIBUTED TO SCHOOLS, TOWNSHIPS AND CITIES.

 

THE PERSONAL FINANCE WEBSITE WalletHub SAYS THE STATES WITH THE FEWEST CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS ARE SOUTH DAKOTA, UTAH AND NORTH DAKOTA.
MINNESOTA IS 21ST ON THAT LIST.
