THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL HEARD LAST WEEK THAT A FIVE YEAR AGREEMENT WITH ROSEAU YOUTH HOCKEY HAS EXPIRED;
AND THAT A MEETING WILL BE SCHEDULED TO LOOK AT THE CONTRACT NUMBERS.
THAT YOUTH HOCKEY AGREEMENT IS TIED TO THE ROSEAU CITY/ SCHOOL AGREEMENT.

 

A GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR A FORTY MILLION DOLLAR ROSEAU SCHOOL RENOVATION PROJECT IS TOMORROW.
THE ROSEAU SCHOOL DISTRICT RECENTLY SOLD GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, GETTING A 2.14 PERCENT RATE FROM THE LOW BIDDER; THAT’S JUST OVER HALF THE PERCENTAGE RATE INITIALLY EXPECTED BY THE DISTRICT’S FINANCIAL ADVISORS, EHLERS AND ASSOCIATES.

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, YESTERDAY, APPROVED SPENDING ABOUT SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR DUCT CLEANING AT THE COURTHOUSE; WHICH HASN’T BEEN DONE SINCE THE BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED 25 YEARS AGO.
IT’S EXPECTED THE COUNTY WILL BE ABLE TO USE “CARES” ACT MONEY FOR THAT CLEANING.

 

A 21ST ANNUAL WALLEYE TOURNAMENT WAS HELD SATURDAY ON LAKE OF THE WOODS, WITH AARON TEMPLIN AND BRUCE BABCOCK CLAIMING THE FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR FIRST PRIZE.
JAN VISTAD AND DERIC ERICKSON WERE SECOND, AND WON THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. TODD HAGEN AND AUSTIN HAGEN FINISHED THIRD.
