LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER IN ROSEAU IS CONTINUING  WITH PLANS FOR AN UPGRADE AT THE ROSEAU MANOR NURSING HOME IN 2021.

ROSEAU COUNTY’S  TEAM  ‘EPIC’  COALITION WAS INFORMED EARLIER THIS MONTH  THAT A DRUG FREE COMMUNITIES GRANT HAS BEEN EXTENDED FOR FIVE MORE YEARS.   BY THE END OF  2025,  ROSEAU COUNTY WILL HAVE RECEIVED ABOUT  ONE-POINT-TWO MILLION DOLLARS FROM THAT  D.F.C. GRANT.

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD,  LAST WEEK,  APPROVED THE AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES WORK PLAN FOR  2020  AS SUBMITTED BY THE ROSEAU SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT.

THE  S.W.C.D. SPENT FIFTY-THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ON  A.I.S. PREVENTION THIS PAST SUMMER

 

THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD,  LAST WEEK,  HEARD THAT ROOFING ON THE SOUTHEASTERN PORTION OF THE SCHOOL RENOVATION PROJECT SHOULD BE DONE BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT MONTH.

THE SITE COORDINATOR FOR KRAUS/ANDERSON,  MATT RIDLON,  HAS TAKEN A JOB AS BUILDING INSPECTOR FOR THE CITY OF BEMIDJI;  THE NEW SITE COORDINATOR FOR THE SCHOOL PROJECT IS BRAD SWANSON.

 

THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT’S  2020 NORTHWESTERN MINNESOTA PROFILE SAYS ABOUT EIGHTY PERCENT  (79.8%) OF HOUSING UNITS IN ROSEAU COUNTY ARE         OWNER-OCCUPIED.

 

A PUBLIC VISITATION FOR NANCY CARLSON OF RURAL ROSEAU,  FOLLOWING COVID GUIDELINES,  IS SUNDAY FROM FOUR TO SEVEN P.M.,  WITH A SEVEN O’CLOCK PRAYER SERVICE,  AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE IN REMEMBRANCE OF THOMAS DICKSON OF WANNASKA WILL BE HELD EARLY NEXT SUMMER

THE TENTATIVE OPENING DATE FOR THE ROSEAU COUNTY MUSEUM IS JANUARY  11TH.     THE MUSEUM ORIGINALLY CLOSED LAST MARCH DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, AND REMAINED CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS THROUGH THE SUMMER.

 

THE FIRST DOSES OF THE PFIZER COVID VACCINE WERE ADMINISTERED THIS WEEK AT  LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER IN ROSEAU.

THE VACCINE ARRIVED MONDAY FROM BEMIDJI WITH A SHERIFF’S ESCORT.

LIFECARE PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTOR JULIE PAHLEN  SAID THE HOSPITAL GAVE SOME MODERNA VACCINES LAST WEEK.

AMONG THE FIRST TO RECEIVE THE PFIZER VACCINE WAS THE CHIEF OF MEDICAL STAFF,  DOCTOR SHEVALI  DEVGON.
