THE ROSEAU MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE IS PARTICIPATING IN A MINNESOTA MUNICIPAL BEVERAGE ASSOCIATION FUNDRAISER INTO NEXT MONTH, WHICH WILL RAISE MONEY FOR ROSEAU’S VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.

 

TOMORROW EVENING’S CONCERT AT ROSEAU’S RIVERPARK PARK GAZEBO FEATURES AN INTERNATIONAL FALLS-BASED DUO CALLED “THE LOST WOODSMEN”.

 

THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD, THIS WEEK, APPROVED THE HIRE OF SHERRY JEROME AS A KINDERGARTEN TEACHER; THE 23 YEAR TEACHING VETERAN WAS THE ONLY APPLICANT FOR THAT JOB.
THE SCHOOL BOARD ALSO APPROVED THE HIRE OF LORI KVIEN AS A LONGTERM SUBSTITUTE ENGLISH TEACHER.

THE AUTHOR, QUINT STUDER, SAYS THERE ARE A NUMBER OF REASONS SMALL TOWNS ARE “HOT” …
INCLUDING A CHEAPER COST OF LIVING; GREAT DOWNTOWNS; A STRONG SENSE OF COMMUNITY; AND A GREAT BALANCE BETWEEN WORK AND LIFE.

NORTH DAKOTA WAS 9TH,  AND IOWA THE 10TH BEST STATE FOR HEALTHCARE,  ACCORDING TO THE WEBSITE.
