THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL IS LOOKING AT A  643 THOUSAND DOLLAR BUDGET DEFICIT IN NEXT YEAR’S BUDGET.  THE CITY ALSO PROJECTED A BUDGET DEFICIT FOR THIS YEAR,  BUT WILL APPARENTLY FINISH THE CALENDAR YEAR WITH AN APPROXIMATE  200 THOUSAND DOLLAR SURPLUS ….

THE CITY MUST FINALIZE IT’S BUDGET AND LEVY BY THE END OF DECEMBER.

 

THE RED RIVER FARM NETWORK REPORTS THAT WELLS FARGO HAS LAID OFF MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED BANKERS OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS;  WITH MOST OF THOSE LAYOFFS IN THE AGRICULTURE BUSINESS UNIT.

WELLS FARGO IS THE LARGEST COMMERCIAL BANK IN THE NATION FOR THE FARM SECTOR.

HE’S A CANADIAN/AMERICAN  WHO’S PLAYED INTERNATIONALLY,  IN PLACES LIKE  BRUSSELS,  SEOUL,  ANTWERP,  VANCOUVER …  AND NOW IN ROSEAU.

THE NEXT CONCERT IN THE SERIES IS NEXT FEBRUARY.

 

HOUSTON ENGINEERING HAS COMPLETED A HIGHWAY 89 URBAN SECTION STUDY FOR THE CITY OF ROSEAU,

WHICH WAS SENT TO THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

PETERSON SAID MINN-DOT AGREED TO LOOK FOR OTHER FUNDING SOURCES TO MOVE THE TIMELINE UP.

4H  SUMMER INTERNS HAVE PROVIDED  A-T-V SAFETY DEMONSTRATIONS AT COUNTY FAIRS SINCE  2014,  REACHING MORE THAN NINETY THOUSAND KIDS;  WITH ANOTHER  350 THOUSAND REACHED THROUGH DEMONSTRATIONS AT THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR.

 

THE ROSEAU TEACHERS ASSOCIATION TEACHER OF THE YEAR FOR  2019 IS SCIENCE TEACHER LEIF EIDSMOE.

HE’S A  2005 ROSEAU HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE, WHO STARTED TEACHING IN ROSEAU SEVEN YEARS AGO.
