A RURAL FOSSTON MAN IS DEAD AND A WOMAN WAS INJURED IN AN ATV ROLLOVER CRASH YESTERDAY IN POLK COUNTY. THE DRIVER WAS 75-YEAR OLD EDWARD HALVORSON, WHO WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE. THE PASSENGER, 71-YEAR OLD JUDITH HALVORSON WAS TRANSPORTED TO A HOSPITAL AND LATER AIRLIFTED TO FARGO.

 

THE POLK COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE RESPONDED TO A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES YESTERDAY IN RURAL BELTRAMI TOWNSHIP. AUTHORITIES ARRIVED TO DISCOVER A VEHICLE ON ITS ROOF, WITH THE DRIVER 28-YEAR OLD CASSANDRA MEINE OF BELTRAMI OUT OF THE CAR, ALONG WITH TWO CHILDREN. ALL THREE HAD INJURIES AND WERE TRANSPORTED TO A CROOKSTON HOSPITAL.

 

ALTRU HEALTH SYSTEMS IS CLOSING ITS RED LAKE FALLS CLINIC, WITH SERVICES ENDING JUNE 25TH. THERAPY SERVICES WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE AND SOON OPERATE OUT OF A DIFFERENT LOCATION. MOST OF THOSE CLINICAL SERVICES WILL END UP SHIFTED TO CLINICS IN THIEF RIVER FALLS, ERSKINE AND CROOKSTON. DIRECTOR OF PRIMARY CARE HEATHER STRANDELL SAID THE FACILITY REQUIRES A REMODEL THAT IS NOT VIABLE.

 

THE HIGHWAY ELEVEN BRIDGE OVER THE RED RIVER AS YOU ENTER NORTH DAKOTA WILL BE HAVING MAINTENCE WORK DONE TODAY AND MOTORISTS SHOULD EXPECT DELAYS AS TRAFFIC WILL BE REDUCED TO ONE LANE.

A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR DENISE M HAGEN OF THIEF RIVER FALLS, FORMERLY OF ROSEAU, WILL BE HELD TOMORROW (1 PM) AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU. VISITATION IS THIS EVENING (5:00-7:00) ALSO AT HELGESON’S. INTERMENT TO TAKE PLACE AT MOE-ROSE CEMETERY. DENISE HAGEN WAS 45.

 

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR MITCHELL D. LAURIN OF WARROAD WILL BE HELD THIS SATURDAY (11:00-1:00) WITH A 1:00 SERVICE AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN WARROAD. INTERMENT WILL BE HELD AT RIVERSIDE CEMETERY. MITCHELL LAURIN WAS 54.
