THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL,  LAST NIGHT,  HEARD THAT AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION WORK STARTS IN EARNEST IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS;  THAT DISRUPTIONS WILL RESULT,  AND THE AIRPORT WILL BE CLOSED FOR PERIODS OF TIME.

 

A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR HELEN DAVIDSON OF MOORHEAD  (AND FORMERLY OF ROSEAU)  IS THURSDAY MORNING AT ELEVEN AT OUR SAVIOR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH IN MOORHEAD.

HELEN DAVIDSON,  A FORMER ROSEAU TEACHER,  WAS  87.

 

A PUBLIC VISITATION FOR WILLIAM  “BILL”  McDONALD OF WARROAD IS TOMORROW EVENING  (5-7 PM)  WITH A SEVEN O’CLOCK CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU.

BILL McDONALD WAS  56.

 

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MONA BEYER OF BAUDETTE ARE TOMORROW AFTERNOON AT TWO  AT FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH IN BAUDETTE.

MONA  BEYER WAS  87.

 

STATE REPRESENTATIVE DAN FABIAN (R/ ROSEAU)  HAS SIGNED A LETTER TO DFL MINNESOTA HOUSE SPEAKER MELISSA HORTMAN  (BROOKLYN PARK)  ASKING FOR HEARINGS ON THE TURMOIL WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES DURING AN OCTOBER  MINI-SESSION IN WINONA.

 

CONCUSSION TESTING FOR ROSEAU HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES IS TODAY, TOMORROW AND MONDAY AT THE ROSEAU HIGH SCHOOL COMPUTER LAB.  CONCUSSION  TESTING IS REQUIRED FOR  PREP ATHLETES EVERY TWO YEARS.

 

‘WIC’  CLINICS ARE TODAY AT THE KITTSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE IN HALLOCK;  TOMORROW AT THE WARROAD AREA COMMUNITY CENTER;  AND THURSDAY AT THE RED LAKE FALLS COMMUNITY CENTER.

 

A MEDICATION TAKE BACK DAY IS THIS AFTERNOON  (Noon to Four PM)  AT THREE ROSEAU COUNTY LOCATIONS  (THE WARROAD LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER,  THE GREENBUSH FIRE HALL AND THE NORTH PARKING LOT AT THE ROSEAU CITY CENTER).

JULIE PAHLEN,  WITH LIFECARE PUBLIC HEALTH,  SAYS THE EVENT HAD BEEN DONE PREVIOUSLY JUST IN THE CITIES OF ROSEAU AND WARROAD..

 

THERESA EBBENGA STARTS HER NEW JOB AS THE NORTHWEST REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR THE  MINNESOTA  D.N.R.  TODAY.

SHE’LL SERVE TWENTY-THREE COUNTIES,  INCLUDING ROSEAU, IN THAT ROLE.

 

A ROSEAU ACTOR,  EMILY CARLSON,  IS THE MAIN CHARACTER IN A LOW BUDGET MOVIE CALLED   “HAIR TRIGGER”,  WHICH RECENTLY FINISHED FILMING IN EAST GRAND FORKS.

MOST OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE MOVIE ARE MINNESOTA  STATE/MOORHEAD GRADUATES.

CARLSON SAYS THE MOVIE IS EXPECTED TO BE RELEASED IN ABOUT A YEAR.

 

A WARROAD MARKET IS SATURDAY  (9-2)  JUST NORTH OF THE MAINSTREET BAR AND GRILL.

 

THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD,  YESTERDAY,  AUTHORIZED KRAUS/ANDERSEN TO SEEK  RFP’S FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR A PROPOSED BUILDING or RENOVATION PROJECT AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.

THE ROSEAU DISTRICT HAS USED THE WINNIPEG ARCHITECTURAL FIRM  “NUMBER TEN”  FOR SEVERAL DECADES.

 

A BENEFIT SPAGHETTI SUPPER FUNDRAISER FOR EVAN FOSTER,  FEATURING A CONCERT BY THE  “POPPLE RIDGE PICKERS”  IS FRIDAY EVENING  (5-8 PM)  AT THE GREENBUSH COMMUNITY CENTER.

PROCEEDS WILL BE USED TO HELP DEFRAY MEDICAL EXPENSES.

 

MENTALIST AND MAGICIAN NOAH SONIE IS AT THE ROSEAU PUBLIC LIBRARY MONDAY MORNING AT TEN.
