THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD,  LAST NIGHT,  HEARD FROM MEMBERS OF A SCHOOL BUILDINGS TASK FORCE; WHICH HELPED CREATE A SURVEY THAT WILL BE MAILED TO SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENTS IN EARLY MAY.THE SURVEY IS RELATIVELY EXTENSIVE,  SAYS TASK FORCE MEMBER SHANNON CARLSON ….THE SURVEY QUESTIONS INCLUDE SPECIFIC DOLLAR AMOUNTS FOR VARIOUS PARTS OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT. INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS AND SCHOOL TOURS ARE SCHEDULED MAY 7TH AND  14TH.

THE WEBSITE WalletHub  SAYS MINNESOTA IS THE  FIFTH GREENEST STATE IN THE NATION,  BEHIND VERMONT,  NEW YORK,  OREGON AND CONNECTICUT.THE METRICS USED IN THE STUDY INCLUDED THE HEALTH OF THE STATE’S ENVIRONMENT,  AND STATE RESIDENTS’  ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLINESS.NORTH DAKOTA WAS 46TH ON THE LIST.

THE MINNESOTA D.N.R. IS TAKING INPUT ON VARIOUS WILDLIFE PROPOSALS THROUGH SUNDAY.THOSE INCLUDE DEER POPULATIONS,  HUNTING AND TRAPPING SEASON CHANGES,  AND HARVESTING FISHER,  BOBCAT AND MARTEN.

THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE HAS RAISED THE UPPER LIMITS ON FARM LOANS. FARM SERVICE AGENCY ADMINISTRATOR RICHARD FORDYCE SAYS FARM LOANS HAVE BECOME INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT FOR FARMERS AND RANCHERS.

A ROSEAU COUNTY HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION IS APRIL  27TH   (Eight to Noon)  AT THE WARROAD CITY SHOP. MOST KINDS OF HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS MATERIALS WILL BE ACCEPTED, INCLUDING  PAINTS,  POISONS AND CHEMICALS.

REPUBLICAN STATE REPRESENTATIVE DAN FABIAN AND REPUBLICAN STATE SENATOR MARK JOHNSON HAVE TOWN HALL MEETINGS TOMORROW MORNING IN HALLOCK AND GREENBUSH, AND TOMORROW AFTERNOON  (1-2 PM)  AT THE ROSEAU CITY CENTER.JOHNSON SAID EARLIER THIS YEAR HE WAS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT WORKING IN A DIVIDED GOVERNMENT …

THE FOURTOWN/ GRYGLA SPORTSMANS CLUB MEETS THIS EVENING  (7 PM)  AT THE THIEF RIVER FALLS AMERICAN LEGION CLUB.

HUNGER SOLUTIONS MINNESOTA IS TELLING LAWMAKERS THAT IMPROVING SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAMS WOULD HELP KIDS LEARN.PETER WOITOCK SAYS THIRTY-FIVE MOBILE FOOD SHELVES,  FUNDED IN 2015,  AND DE-FUNDED LAST YEAR,  ALSO HELPED …. THOSE MOBILE FOOD SHELVES WERE AIMED AT SMALL TOWN MINNESOTA.
