THE MINNESOTA DEER HUNTERS ASSOCIATION IS ASKING GOVERNOR TIM WALZ TO RE-CONSIDER HIS OPPOSITION TO A GRAY WOLF SEASON, IF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RETURNS MANAGEMENT OF THE WOLF TO THE STATE D.N.R. WALZ SUPPORTED DE-LISTING THE TIMBERWOLF WHILE HE WAS IN CONGRESS; BUT APPARENTLY RECENTLY VOICED OPPOSITION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGING A WOLF SEASON.

 

A RECENT PRESS RELEASE FROM ROSEAU COUNTY’S TEAM ‘EPIC’ SAYS 82% OF COUNTY TEENAGERS WOULD RATHER NOT USE MARIJUANA WHILE HANGING OUT WITH FRIENDS.

THE WARROAD HOME OF SCOTT AND JOLEEN KEZAR WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE EARLY YESTERDAY MORNING.

 

44 YEAR OLD KAMMI LELAND OF DRAYTON, NORTH DAKOTA IS DEAD AFTER BEING HIT BY A CAR EARLY YESTERDAY MORNING A MILE SOUTH OF DRAYTON. 21 YEAR OLD HUNTER HATLOY APPARENTLY SWERVED TO AVOID A MAN STANDING ALONGSIDE THE ROAD, AND STRUCK LELAND (WHO WAS STANDING IN THE ROAD). HATLOY SAID THE MAN, 40 YEAR OLD MATTHEW HILTON, HAD POINTED A GUN AT HIS CAR. HATLOY AND A PASSENGER, 21 YEAR OLD CORDELL WIMPFHEIMER, WERE NOT INJURED.

 

THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD, THIS WEEK, RECOGNIZED STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE McKENNA SCHUMACHER – WHO SAID HER NON-VOTING SCHOOL BOARD PARTICIPATION HAS BEEN A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE . ROSEAU HAS HAD A STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE AT IT’S SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS FOR THE PAST TWO DECADES.
