ROSEAU ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE HAS A PLANNED POWER OUTAGE FOR TOMORROW, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 10 AM AND 2 PM THAT WILL AFFECT THE TOWNSHIPS OF DEWEY, HEREIM, LIND, DEER, HUSS, EAST PARK, HUNTLEY, AND COMO. THE GREENBUSH CARE CENTER AND CENTRAL BOILER WILL NOT BE AFFECTED. THERE ARE REPAIRS TO SUBSTATION EQUIPMENT THAT NEED TO BE PERFORMED.

THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ANNOUNCED THAT TWO SCHOOL STAFF MEMBERS IN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA HAVE DIED FROM COVID-19. THEY ARE THE FIRST STAFF MEMBERS TO DIE FROM COVID IN THIS CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR. LAST YEAR, EIGHT STAFF AND ONE STUDENT PASSED AWAY ACCORDING TO STATE DATA. SINCE AUGUST OF 2020, THEY ASSOCIATE NEARLY 30,000 CASES OF COVID-19 WITH SCHOOLS.

MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR DIANE KASTNER OF ROSEAU WILL BE HELD THIS MORNING (11 AM) AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU, WITH VISITATION ONE HOUR PRIOR. DIANE KASTNER WAS 79.

THE ANNUAL BANQUET FOR THE ROSEAU RIVER CHAPTER OF THE MINNESOTA DEER HUNTERS ASSOCIATION IS MONDAY, OCTOBER 11TH.
