TWO WOMEN HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED IN A 2019 MURDER ON THE RED LAKE INDIAN RESERVATION. 20 YEAR OLD ALEXIA GAH GI GAY MARY CUTBANK AND 20 YEAR OLD MIA FAYE SUMNER ARE ALLEGEDLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MURDER OF THE VICTIM, WHO WAS LISTED SIMPLY BY INITIALS “D.A.J.” THEY FACE ONE COUNT OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER, ONE COUNT OF ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON, AND ONE OTHER ASSAULT CHARGE.

CARLTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES FOUND THE BODY OF 62-YEAR OLD TACY ELLEN JULIAN ON FRIDAY, AND ARRESTED HER 65-YEAR OLD HUSBAND RAYMOND ARTHUR JULIAN. THE WOMAN DIED FROM AN APPARENT GUNSHOT WOUND.

THE ROSEAU TIMES REGION FEATURES A STORY ON SPRUCE TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS UPSET WITH POLLUTANTS BEING PRODUCED BY NORFARM SEEDS. AT LEAST ONE FATALITY HAS COME OUT OF 286 CRASHES THAT WERE REPORTED BY THE MINNESOTA STATE PATROL ASSOCIATED WITH THE WINTER STORM THAT COVERED THE LOWER HALF OF MINNESOTA, BRING 20 INCHES TO SOME AREAS.

A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR HARRY R. SHEPARD SR. OF WARROAD WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY (1 PM) AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU. VISITATION WILL BE ONE HOUR PRIOR. INTERMENT WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE.

SOME RESORTS OUT OF BAUDETTE ARE BEGINNING TO GET HOUSES AND ANGLERS ONTO THE ICE, WHILE THERE IS STILL A BIT OF A WAIT IN WARROAD. OFFICIALS CONTINUE TO URGE THE USE OF CAUTION IF THINKING ABOUT VENTURING ONTO THE ICE AND TO CHECK WITH RESORTS FOR THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF ICE CONDITIONS.
