ROSEAU HIGH SCHOOL’S COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE THIS SUNDAY AT 1:30 IN THE AFTERNOON. WEATHER PERMITTING, THEY WILL UTILIZE THE FOOTBALL FIELD. IF NEEDED, IT WOULD BE MOVED INDOORS TO THE RAMS SPORTS CENTER. THERE WILL BE A PARADE OF THE GRADUATES DOWN CENTER STREET FOLLOWING THE CEREMONY. THAT WILL END AT THE RIVERVIEW PARK GAZEBO.

WARROAD’S GRADUATION CEREMONY IS FRIDAY EVENING… GREENBUSH-MIDDLE RIVER WILL GRADUATE ITS SENIORS ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT 2:00.

ROSEAU COUNTY HAS BEEN WITHOUT A HIGHWAY ENGINEER SINCE BRIAN KETRING’S DEPARTURE FOR THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION A YEAR AGO.

OF THE TWELVE, 9 WERE BORN ON THE BELTRAMI FARM, WHILE THREE WERE MOVED TO THE FARM FROM OTHER MINNESOTA HERDS.

 

DNR SET A SLIGHT REDUCTION IN ELK LICENSES FOR THIS YEAR’S NORTHWEST MINNESOTA HUNTS. SEASONS WILL RUN FROM LATE AUGUST UNTIL MID-OCTOBER, AND THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR ONE OF THE 30 AVAILABLE LICENSES IS FRIDAY, JUNE 11. THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES WILL OFFER THOSE 30 LICENSES FOR THIS YEAR’S ELK SEASON IN KITTSON COUNTY OF NORTHWEST MINNESOTA, DOWN FROM 44 LAST YEAR.

 

AS HINTED AT YESTERDAY, GOVERNOR WALZ ANNOUNCED THE “YOUR SHOT TO SUMMER” CAMPAIGN, AIMED AT ENTICING PEOPLE TO GET THEIR COVID 19 VACCINATION BETWEEN NOW AND JULY 1. THE FIRST 100,000 MINNESOTANS THAT GET THEIR VACCINE, THEN SUBMIT A REQUEST, WILL GET TO CHOOSE THEIR PREFERRED REWARD. THOSE INCLUDE THINGS SUCH AS A FREE FISHING LICENSE, STATE PARK PASS, STATE FAIR TICKETS, VALLEYFAIR ADMISSION, A $25 PREPAID VISA CARD, AND MORE.
