19 YEAR OLD JOHN MALWITZ OF RED LAKE FALLS WAS TAKEN TO LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER WITH NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES AFTER A SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH EARLY THIS MORNING ON HIGHWAY 32 BETWEEN GREENBUSH AND STRATHCONA.
IT HAPPENED AT ABOUT 1:15 A.M. MALWITZ WAS NORTHBOUND, APPARENTLY FELL ASLEEP AND WENT INTO THE DITCH.

 

TODAY’S GRAND FORKS HERALD HAS A FRONT PAGE STORY ON ROSEAU’S KATE LUNDQUIST, THE ADOPTIVE MOTHER OF TWO HAITIAN CHILDREN, AND A BLACK LIVES MATTER RALLY IN ROSEAU LAST MONTH.

FUNERAL SERVICES ARE PENDING FOR JOE BOUVETTE OF HALLOCK. HE DIED AT HIS SUMMER HOME NEAR WALKER IN LATE JUNE AT AGE 79.
BOUVETTE WAS A LONGTIME DENTIST IN HALLOCK, AND SERVED 32 YEARS AS A KITTSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER.

 

A WASTE PESTICIDE COLLECTION IS TUESDAY AT NORTHERN RESOURCES COOPERATIVE IN ROSEAU.
FARMERS, BUSINESS OWNERS AND HOMEOWNERS CAN BRING UP TO 300 POUNDS OF WASTE PESTICIDE FREE OF CHARGE.
PAINTS, FUELS AND OTHER HAZARDOUS WASTE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
