Today’s Covid-19 Update for Saturday, November 7 2020

Roseau County has 534 Positive Cases; with 33  new cases reported today; 160 ACTIVE Cases; 374 having recovered (out of isolation) and 1 accumulated death.

There were 4,647 new cases of COVID-19 reported Friday, shattering the record of 5,442 set just one day ago. A further 34 deaths were reported.

Of the 34 new deaths, 18 were residents of long-term care facilities. Long-term care deaths have accounted for 1,818 of the state’s 2,625 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

The MDH reported 42,981 diagnostic PCR tests and an additional 1,757 antigen tests for a total of 44,738 completed tests.

Those tests were from 19,394 people tested. People are often tested multiple times, so the more accurate reading for test positivity rate is based on the total number of people tested, which today’s report is at 24%.

The positivity rate reported Saturday when total cases is divided by total tests, is 10.38%. Health experts say positivity rates need to be below the 5% mark to control the spread of the virus.

Statewide

  • Total tests: 3,075,413 (up from 3,029,108)
  • People tested: 1,982,166 (up from 1,962,772)
  • Positive cases: 174,954 (up from 170,307)
  • Deaths: 2,625, 25 of which are “probable*” (up from 2,591)
  • Patients no longer requiring isolation: 142,800 (up from 139,190)
