HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL –   BLAKE NORRIS AND GABBI  BOUCHA EACH SCORED TOUCHDOWNS,  AS WARROAD EDGED WALKER/HACKENSACK/AKELEY  16-14.   NORRIS AND BOUCHA COMBINED FOR 150 RUSHING YARDS. ROTHSAY BEAT LAKE OF THE WOODS   32-6.

PERHAM WON YESTERDAY’S  SECTION 8A GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP, WITH WARROAD  6TH. FAITH LILLY AND ELIANA BLEESS LED THE WARRIORS.ROSEAU’S  LELIA JOHNSON WAS  16TH INDIVIDUALLY.

ROSEAU GIRLS TENNIS CO-MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS ARE LINDSAY McFARLANE AND JULIA BRAATEN.   ERIN BRANDT WAS VOTED MOST IMPROVED,  AND ELLA TRANGSRUD EARNED THE  “RAM”  AWARD.

THE NHL WASHINGTON CAPITALS HAVE RE-SIGNED FORWARD SHANE GERSICH.   HE’S THE GRANDSON OF CAROL AND NEWELL BROTEN OF ROSEAU.

LEGENDARY BASKETBALL COACH BOB McDONALD OF CHISHOLM HAS DIED AT AGE  87.  HE WON MORE THAN A THOUSAND GAMES AND THREE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS OVER  59 YEARS.
