ROSEAU’S GIRLS HOCKEY TEAM SPLIT A PAIR OF SEASON OPENING ROAD GAMES ON THE WEEKEND,  LOSING  8-0 AT MINNETONKA FRIDAY;  THEN REBOUNDING WITH A  3-1 WIN AT LAKEVILLE NORTH SATURDAY.  MEMPHIS MERTENS SCORED TWICE AND THE RAMS HAD A PAIR OF SHORTHANDED GOALS.  ROSEAU HOSTS BEMIDJI THURSDAY EVENING.

WARROAD ALSO SPLIT ON THE WEEKEND,  BEATING LAKEVILLE NORTH AND FALLING 9-4 TO MINNETONKA SATURDAY.

 

ROSEAU’S  BANTAM  “AA” HOCKEY TEAM LOST  5-4 TO FARGO YESTERDAY;  DYLAN JOHNSON MADE 37 SAVES.

THE BANTAMS BEAT TWO GRAND FORKS TEAMS SATURDAY,  BOTH BY A GOAL;   GAVIN JENSEN AND PRESTON LUNDBOHM SUPPLIED THE GAME WINNERS  (LUNDBOHM IN OVERTIME).

 

WINNIPEG WON AT SASKATCHEWAN,  20-13 IN THE CFL WESTERN FINAL;  AND HAMILTON BEAT THE EDMONTON ESKIMOS  36-16;  SO THE BLUE BOMBERS AND TI-CATS PLAY NEXT WEEKEND IN CALGARY FOR THE GREY CUP.  WINNIPEG LAST WON A GREY CUP CHAMPIONSHIP IN  1990.
