MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR KAROL  LOFGREN  OF BAUDETTE ARE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT TWO  AT THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING WATER,  EAST OF BAUDETTE. KAROL  LOFGREN WAS  62.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE FOR TRACY NELSON OF BAUDETTE.   BURIAL WILL BE AT ST JOSEPH’S CEMETERY IN WILLIAMS. TRACY  NELSON WAS  65.

A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL FOR LeROY  TAUS IS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH    (10:30 A.M.)  AT BLESSED SACRAMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH IN GREENBUSH. LeROY TAUS WAS  94.

ROSEAU COUNTY HAS ADDED NEARLY EIGHTY  (79)  NEW CONFIRMED CORONAVIRUS CASES IN THE PAST WEEK;  WITH  188 CUMULATIVE CONFIRMED CASES OCTOBER 18TH,  TO  267 YESTERDAY;  96 OF THOSE ARE ACTIVE CASES. MICHAEL OSTERHOLM,  THE DIRECTOR FOR THE CENTER FOR INFECTIOUS DISEASE RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY of MINNESOTA,  SAYS THE COUNTY AND THE  STATE SHOULD BRACE ITSELF FOR MORE TROUBLING REPORTS …. MINNESOTA HAS AVERAGED MORE THAN A THOUSAND NEW CASES PER DAY OVER THE PAST MONTH,  AND COVID HOSPITALIZATIONS ARE TRENDING UPWARD IN THE STATE.

MINNESOTA GOVERNOR TIM WALZ HAS APPOINTED JERROD SHERMOEN TO A  9TH  DISTRICT JUDGESHIP. HE’LL SUCCEED JUDGE CHARLES LeDUC,  WHO’S RETIRING FROM THE BENCH IN KOOCHICHING COUNTY.

THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INTRODUCED THEIR  “GOOD JOBS NOW” CAMPAIGN LAST WEEK. MARVIN WINDOWS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES RICK TRONTVET WAS AT THE VIRTUAL UNVEILING OF THE PROGRAM,  AND SAID  MARVIN IS  “THANKFUL TO CONNECT WITH TALENT IN THE STATE THROUGH THIS INNOVATIVE TOOL”.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE SCHEDULED NEXT SPRING FOR DARLENE AMUNDSON OF KARLSTAD. DARLENE AMUNDSON WAS BORN IN ROSEAU;  SHE WAS  65.

THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH REPORTS TWENTY-ONE NEW DEATHS  AND  1,684 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS YESTERDAY.
