THE ROSEAU COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICE HAS ANNOUNCED A CITIZEN LED COVID-19 RESPONSE CAMPAIGN ENTITLED “IT’S UP TO ME”. THE CAMPAIGN WILL FEATURE APPEALS FROM STUDENTS, PARENTS, MEDICAL LEADERS, BUSINESS LEADERS AND MORE, CALLING UPON EVERYONE TO TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTAIN THE SPREAD OF THE DISEASE.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR PHYLLIS ODEGAARD OF ROSEAU,  FOLLOWING MINNESOTA COVID-19 GUIDELINES,  ARE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT TWO  AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU.  VISITATION IS AN HOUR PRIOR. PHYLLIS  ODEGAARD WAS  93.

A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR TIMOTHY FISH IS MONDAY MORNING AT ELEVEN  AT WOODLAND BIBLE CHURCH OF WARROAD.   VISITATION IS SUNDAY EVENING  (5-7 PM)  WITH A SEVEN O’CLOCK PRAYER SERVICE  AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN WARROAD. TIM FISH WAS  62.

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD,  THIS WEEK,  APPROVED THE HIRE OF FOUR REGULAR PART-TIME DISPATCH/JAILERS FOR THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT. THERE WERE FIFTEEN APPLICANTS. THE HIRES WERE DUE TO THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS RECOMMENDING TWICE THE STAFFING IN THE COUNTY JAIL.

THE GREENBUSH FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS A TO-GO  FUNDRAISER MEAL SUNDAY AT THE GREENBUSH FIRE HALL.

FIRST UNITED LUTHERAN CHURCH IN ROSEAU  WILL HAND OUT TREAT BAGS TOMORROW EVENING  (5-7 PM)  AT THE CHURCH. THAT’S THEIR ANNUAL  NO TRICKS, JUST TREATS EVENT.

OAK CREST SENIOR HOUSING IN ROSEAU HAS AN OUTSIDE  TREAT WALK TOMORROW EVENING  (4-5 PM).

MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH YOUTH MINISTRY HAS IT’S ANNUAL TRUNK OR TREAT EVENT TOMORROW EVENING  (5-7 PM)  AT THE CHURCH.

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL MEETS MONDAY EVENING.

ROSEAU COUNTY HAS SET ANOTHER SINGLE DAY RECORD FOR CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES TODAY (THURSDAY), WITH  34 NEW CASES AND 345 CUMULATIVE CASES SINCE APRIL.

DUE TO STAFFING SHORTAGES CAUSED BY EITHER POSITIVE COVID-19 TESTS, OR THE NEED TO QUARANTINE AFTER CLOSE CONTACT, THE GREENBUSH-MIDDLE RIVER SCHOOL DISTRICT IS SHIFTING THEIR 9-12 GRADE CLASSES TO DISTANCE LEARNING STARTING MONDAY. THE INITIAL PLAN IS FOR TWO WEEKS.
