THE SUMMER GAZEBO CONCERT SERIES AT RIVERVIEW PARK IN ROSEAU STARTS JUNE 20TH, WITH THE “WOODPICKS”. THE NINE CONCERT SERIES GOES THROUGH THE END OF AUGUST; OTHER SHOWS INCLUDE TAMI LEE, DARIANN LEIGH AND GABBIE JUNE.

 

THE LESSARD/SAMS OUTDOOR HERITAGE COUNCIL IS ACCEPTING FUNDING REQUESTS THROUGH FRIDAY FOR 2021 PROJECTS.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS ARE THOSE THAT RESTORE, PROTECT AND ENHANCE WETLANDS, PRAIRIE AND FOREST – AND HABITATS FOR FISH, GAME AND WILDLIFE.
OVER THE PAST DECADE, THE COUNCIL HAS AWARDED 940 MILLION DOLLARS FOR MORE THAN THREE HUNDRED PROJECTS ACROSS MINNESOTA.

THE MINNESOTA STATE PATROL HAS RELEASED THE NAME OF A MAN KILLED IN A MONDAY NIGHT HEAD-ON CRASH NEAR BEMIDJI AS 82 YEAR OLD RUSSELL PORTER OF BEMIDJI.
PORTER WAS A PASSENGER IN A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY 73 YEAR OLD MARGARET PORTER OF BEMIDJI, WHICH WAS TRAVELING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION ON HIGHWAY TWO, AND HIT A CAR DRIVEN BY 21 YEAR OLD ATHENA STANEK OF FOSSTON.
STANEK WAS TREATED AND RELEASED FROM A BEMIDJI HOSPITAL; WHILE MARGARET PORTER SUFFERED LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MARILYN SUNSTEN OF FRISCO, TEXAS (AND FORMERLY OF ROSEAU) ARE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT TWO AT CONCORDIA LUTHERAN CHURCH IN ROSS. VISITATION IS FRIDAY EVENING (5-7 PM) AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU.
MARILYN SUNSTEN WAS 75.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, RENEWED A CONTRACT FOR IT’S SENTENCED TO SERVE PROGRAM AT THE ROSEAU COUNTY JAIL. S-T-S CREWS, MANAGED BY RICK VON ENDE, WORKED NEARLY FIFTY-NINE HUNDRED HOURS OVER THE PAST YEAR.

 

A 3D ARCHERY SHOOT IS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AT THE MALUNG COMMUNITY CENTER.
