PER STATE MANDATE, THE ROSEAU PUBLIC LIBRARY IS OPEN TODAY, BUT WILL THEN CLOSE UNTIL AT LEAST APRIL 5TH.
THE ROSEAU COUNTY MUSEUM IS ALSO CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 5TH.
ROSEAU’S MEMORIAL ARENA AND NORTH RINK ARE CLOSED.
THE ROSEAU MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE REMAINS OPEN.
THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL WILL MEET EACH MONDAY AT THE CITY CENTER, AND WILL ADD EMERGENCY MEETINGS AS NECESSARY.

 

THE ROSEAU LUNCH AT THE LIBRARY TRAVEL SERIES IS SCHEDULED TO START APRIL 9TH, WITH EVAN BUTLER ON THE COUNTRY OF NEPAL.

 

THE ROSEAU ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE IS POSTPONING THIS YEAR’S ANNUAL MEETING AT THE ROSEAU SCHOOL, DUE TO CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS.
THE SCHEDULED APRIL 4TH MEETING WILL BE RE-SCHEDULED FOR A FUTURE TIME.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD HAS SCHEDULED AN EMERGENCY MEETING FOR TOMORROW MORNING TO ADDRESS COVID-19 CONCERNS.

 

AN EIGHT DAY CLOSURE OF THE ROSEAU SCHOOL (AND EVERY OTHER PUBLIC SCHOOL IN MINNESOTA) STARTS TODAY.
TEACHERS WILL USE THE TIME TO PLAN FOR DISTANCE LEARNING.
A 7TH GRADE TRIP TO THE WOLF RIDGE ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING CENTER HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

 

CHLOE JOHNSON IS THE STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE ON THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD;
SHE SAYS A DIFFICULT SENIOR YEAR HAS BEEN CAPPED BY THE CORONAVIRUS UNCERTAINTY.
FRIDAY’S DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT AT THE ROSEAU SCHOOL HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

 

A RED RIVER WATERSHED BOARD MEETING WAS LAST WEEK IN MOORHEAD. JASON BRAATEN, FROM THE ROSEAU RIVER WATERSHED BOARD, TELLS THE RED RIVER FARM NETWORK “A LOT OF DITCHES WERE MADE FIFTY OR SIXTY YEARS AGO” AND “CAN’T KEEP UP WITH MODERN FARMING PRACTICES”.
BRAATEN SAYS A REGIONWIDE APPROACH TO DRAINAGE IS NEEDED FOR FARMERS.

 

A.A.R.P. HAS “LIVEABILITY” GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR NONPROFITS AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.
CALLED THE COMMUNITY CHALLENGE GRANT PROGRAM, THIS YEAR’S FUNDING HAS A CATEGORY FOR DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION.

GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY APRIL FIRST.

 

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL MET IN EMERGENCY SESSION MONDAY EVENING, USING A MUCH LARGER MEETING SPACE AT THE CITY CENTER IN RECOGNITION OF THE C-D-C RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A BUFFER BETWEEN PEOPLE.
MAYOR JEFF PELOWSKI SAID THE COUNCIL WANTS TO ASSURE RESIDENTS THAT CITY SERVICES WILL CONTINUE DURING THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK.

ROSEAU FIREARMS SAFETY CLASS TEST NIGHT, SCHEDULED LAST NIGHT, WAS POSTPONED. SAFETY INSTRUCTOR RANDY PRACHAR SAYS PLANS FOR MAKING UP THAT TEST WILL BE FORTHCOMING.

THE BOY SCOUT COUNCIL RECOMMENDED SCOUTS NOT GO DOOR TO DOOR YESTERDAY EVENING COLLECTING FOOD FOR THE ROSEAU FOOD SHELF.
