AND THE MARKETING PARTNER OF THE YEAR AWARD WAS GIVEN TO THE LAKE OF THE WOODS BREWING COMPANY.

AFTER TWO DECADES AS SUPERINTENDENT OF THE ROSEAU SCHOOL DISTRICT, LARRY GUGGISBERG RESIGNED THAT POSITION LAST SUMMER.
HE IS NOW SERVING AS THE PART-TIME INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT FOR THE GREENBUSH-MIDDLE RIVER DISTRICT.
GUGGISBERG’S SUCCESSOR IN THE ROSEAU DISTRICT IS TOM JEROME, WHO HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN THE SUPERINTENDENT FOR BOTH THE BADGER AND GREENBUSH-MIDDLE RIVER DISTRICTS.

 

JOHN BURKEL OF BADGER ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY THAT HE IS SEEKING THE REPUBLICAN ENDORSEMENT AS A CANDIDATE FOR THE MINNESOTA HOUSE DISTRICT 1A SEAT THAT REPRESENTATIVE DAN FABIAN IS VACATING.
FABIAN SAID THIS WEEK HE WON’T SEEK A SIXTH TERM IN THE STATE HOUSE.
BURKEL CALLED THE DECISION TO RUN “DIFFICULT”.
BURKEL IS A PAST PRESIDENT OF THE MINNESOTA TURKEY GROWERS ASSOCIATION, AND A PAST CHAIR OF THE NATIONAL TURKEY FEDERATION.
THE ROSEAU COUNTY REPUBLICAN ENDORSING CONVENTION IS SATURDAY.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR SHERRY SEVERSON OF ROSEAU IS TOMORROW EVENING AT FIVE AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN ROSEAU.
VISITATION IS AN HOUR PRIOR.
SHERRY SEVERSON WAS 57.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, YESTERDAY, APPROVED A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE BUREAU OF CRIMINAL APPREHENSION FOR DATA SHARING WITH THE ROSEAU COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.
