DIRECT FEDERAL ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS ACCOUNTED FOR MORE THAN A THIRD OF U.S. FARMERS 121 BILLION DOLLARS IN NET INCOME,
AND FARM PROFITS WERE AT THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL IN SEVEN YEARS.

PAHLEN SAID HER AGENCY RECEIVED ANOTHER ONE HUNDRED DOSES OF VACCINE THIS WEEK.

 

THE I.R.S. TAX FILING DEADLINE IS STILL TWO MONTHS AWAY, BUT LOCAL TAX PREPARERS HAVE BEEN BUSY.

WILSON ALSO SAYS THE COVID PANDEMIC HAS HAD LITTLE EFFECT ON ROSEAU COUNTY TAXPAYERS.

 

THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE CONTINUES SEEKING GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR PROJECTS TO IMPROVE HOUSING, COMMUNITY FACILITIES AND TO IMPROVE COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN RURAL AREAS.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD HAS APPROVED AN APPLICATION FOR AN EXEMPT PERMIT FOR THE WARROAD-BASED NONPROFIT “HELPP, INC” FOR A RAFFLE TO HELD AT THE CLEARRIVER CAMPGROUND.

 

ROSEAU POLICE CHIEF WARD ANDERSON SAYS IN HIS 2020 REPORT THAT INITIAL COMPLAINT REPORTS WERE DOWN ABOUT FOUR PER MONTH WHEN COMPARED WITH 2019.
ANDERSON SAYS SOME OF THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES OF THE PANDEMIC DIDN’T HAPPEN LAST YEAR.
