ROSEAU COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IS CONVENING A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WORKSHOP FOR COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS TO ASSESS AND PLAN FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF ROSEAU COUNTY RESIDENTS. THERE ARE TWO OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WORKSHOP, EITHER IN PERSON OR VIA ZOOM, BOTH TOMORROW AFTERNOON FROM 1:00-4:00, OR FRIDAY FROM 8:00-11:00. CROOKSTON POLICE RESPONDED TO A CALL YESTERDAY AFTERNOON WHERE A 10 YEAR OLD GIRL WAS STRUCK BY A SEMI AT THE INTERSECTION OF BROADWAY AND ROBERT STREET. THE PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION INDICATES THE CHILD WAS ON THE SIDEWALK AT THAT CORNER AND WAS STRUCK BY THE TRAILER’S REAR TIRES WHEN THE TRUCK WAS MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN. THE GIRL AND HER BIKE BECAME ENTANGLED IN THE TRAILER’S WHEELS. SHE WAS TRANSPORTED TO RIVERVIEW HEALTH AND LATER AIRLIFTED TO FARGO. MORE WILL BE AVAILABLE AS THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.

WITH SO MUCH TALK ABOUT THE COVID VACCINE, IT’S ALSO OFFICIALLY TIME TO CONSIDER YOUR FLU SHOT. THAT SEASONS BEGINS NOVEMBER 6TH, BUT THERE IS LEGAL ACTION BEING CONSIDERED TO CANCEL THAT SEASON, WITH COURT PROCEEDINGS SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 29TH. A SPECIAL HUNT IN FEBRUARY SAW NEARLY TWICE AS MANY WOLVES TAKEN THAT WAS PLANNED IN JUST A 72 HOUR SPAN.
