THE D.N.R. RAISED THE NUMBER OF PERMITS AVAILABLE IN KITTSON COUNTY LAST YEAR AS THEY TRY TO REDUCE THE HERD IN THE LANCASTER AREA.
THERE ARE ALSO SMALLER ELK HERDS NEAR GRYGLA, AND IN THE CARIBOU AREA NEAR THE KITTSON AND ROSEAU COUNTY LINE.
