THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL,  THIS WEEK,  HEARD FROM PARKS AND REC DIRECTOR SARA HAMANN –

WHO SAID THE NEW ARCH AT GILBERTSON BASEBALL FIELD SHOULD BE INSTALLED SOON.

THE COUNCIL APPROVED TWO NEW WATER DISPENSERS AT MEMORIAL ARENA.

 

AN ANNUAL BOOK FAIR AT THE ROSEAU SCHOOL STARTS THIS AFTERNOON, IN CONJUNCTION WITH PARENT/ TEACHER CONFERENCES.

PROCEEDS FROM THE READING IS FUNDAMENTAL PROJECT GO TO A BOOK GIVEAWAY PROGRAM,  WHICH PROVIDES FREE BOOKS TO ELEMENTARY STUDENTS TWICE A YEAR.

 

COACH PURSE BINGO IS SATURDAY EVENING  (6:30 PM)  AT  THE ROSEAU  V.F.W.

IT’S LIMITED TO 200 PLAYERS, AND IS SPONSORED BY THE ROSEAU BAND BOOSTERS.

 

AN ANNUAL HUNTERS MEAL IS SATURDAY  (3-8 PM)  AT BETHESDA LUTHERAN CHURCH AT SKIME.

 

A FUNERAL SERVICE FOR VIOLET SVIR OF BADGER IS THIS MORNING AT ELEVEN  AT THE BADGER CREEK FREE LUTHERAN CHURCH.  VISITATION IS AN HOUR PRIOR.   BURIAL IS AT THE BADGER CREEK CEMETERY.

VIOLET SVIR WAS  85.

 

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR CHARLOTTE ANDERSON OF BAUDETTE ARE TOMORROW MORNING AT TEN  AT WABANICA LUTHERAN CHURCH,  NORTH OF BAUDETTE.   VISITATION IS THIS EVENING  (6-8 PM)  AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN BAUDETTE.

CHARLOTTE ANDERSON WAS  96.
