A PUBLIC INPUT MEETING WAS HELD, LOOKING AT THE POSSIBILITY OF ADDING ANOTHER I-29 INTERCHANGE THAT WOULD ALLOW FOR TRAFFIC TO EXIT THE INTERSTATE AND ENTER GRAND FORKS SOMEWHERE FURTHER SOUTH THAN 32ND AVENUE. THAT 32ND AVENUE CORRIDOR CURRENTLY SEES AROUND 30,000 VEHICLES PERDAY AND CAN BE WORSE DURING EVENTS AT THE ALERUS CENTER OR THROUGH THE BUSY HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON. THE FOUR INTERSECTIONS CLOSEST TO THE I-29 INTERCHANGE ALSO SEE A HIGHER THAN NORMAL AMOUNT OF CRASHES.
