THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, THIS WEEK,  HELD A PUBLIC HEARING ON TAX-FORFEITED LAND CLASSIFICATIONS,  AHEAD OF A SALE THIS FALL.   SOME OF THE DOZEN PARCELS WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER LOCAL UNITS OF GOVERNMENT.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD HAS APPROVED A TWO RIVERS-PLUS WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLAN,  AND A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE ROSEAU AND KITTSON SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICTS,  AND KITTSON COUNTY.  THE TWO RIVERS WATERSHED DISTRICT WITHDREW FROM THE PLAN LAST MONTH.  THE  J.P.A. ENTITY WILL RECEIVE APPROXIMATELY FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ANNUALLY FOR LOCAL WATER PROJECTS.

 

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL  HAS APPROVED PURCHASE OF RE-DACTION SOFTWARE FOR POLICE BODY-CAMERA VIDEO FOOTAGE.

 

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL HAS APPROVED A NEW FIVE YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH NORTHLAND COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE FOR SPACE AT THE CITY CENTER.  THE COLLEGE HAS AGREED TO ALLOW COMMUNITY USE OF PART OF THAT SPACE.

 

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL HAS RECOGNIZED DONATIONS TOTALLING MORE THAN TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE GAZEBO CONCERT FUND  FROM LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER,  CHRIS AND JEANNIE HAMNESS,  NORTHERN RESOURCES AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

 

ALTOZ HAS WON A LANDSCAPE BUSINESS NEW PRODUCT AWARD FOR IT’S T-S-X 561I MOWER, WHICH IS THE INDUSTRY’S FIRST STAND-ON TRACKED MOWER.

THOSE WITH ASTHMA, COPD, OR OTHER RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES CAN BE AT RISK.
