LIFECARE PUBLIC HEALTH IS OFFERING A POP-UP VACCINE CLINIC TODAY FROM 10:00-11:00 AT THE ROSEAU CITY CENTER, OFFERING THE SINGLE-SHOT JOHNSON & JOHNSON VACCINE. CALL 463-3211 FOR AN APPOINTMENT, OR WALK-IN ARE WELCOME.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY MASONIC LODGE WILL HOLD A MOTHER’S DAY BBQ, SERVED FROM THE ROSEAU AMERICAN LEGION, ON MAY 9TH, BEGINNING AT 11:00. ALL MEALS ARE $10 AND WILL BE DONE IN A DRIVE THRU PICKUP.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JACK GREEN OF WARROAD WILL BE HELD SATURDAY  (2 PM) AT THE WARROAD BAPTIST CHURCH. VISITATION IS AN HOUR PRIOR. JACK GREEN WAS 79.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR LEROY T. STRAND OF WARROAD WILL BE HELD TOMORROW (11 AM) AT ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH IN WARROAD. VISITATION WILL BE HELD ONE HOUR PRIOR. INTERMENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT RIVERSIDE CEMETERY IN WARROAD. LEROY STRAND WAS 80.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD APPROVED ADVERTISING TO HIRE A FAMILY BASED SERVICES WOKRER, AND AN OFFICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST; IN THE FIRST CASE, TO REPLACE AN EMPLOYEE WHOS BEEN HIRED AS A SOCIAL WORKER; AND IN THE SECOND CASE, DUE TO RETIREMENT.

 

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD TALKED ABOUT A REQUEST FROM THE CITY OF GREENBUSH FOR ADDITIONAL POLICING SERVICES THROUGH THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT. THE CITIES OF ROSEUA AND WARROAD THEIR OWN POLICE DEPARTMENTS.

 

THE USDA HAS ANNOUNCED AN EXTENSION OF THEIR FREE LUNCH PROGRAM FOR ALL STUDENTS THROUGH THE END OF THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR.

 

U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION SEIZED NEARLY 3000 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA AT THE PEMBINA BORDER CROSSING, VALUED AT NEARLY 4.5 MILLION DOLLARS. THE SHIPMENT WAS DISGUISED AS A STRAW SHIPMENT.
