THE ROSEAU SCHOOL BOARD, ON FRIDAY, VOTED TO ADD TEN DAY AND SEVEN DAY QUARANTINE PERIODS FOR CLOSE CONTACTS OF COVID POSITIVES.
THE ONLY OTHER OPTION OVER THE PAST ELEVEN MONTHS HAD BEEN A FOURTEEN DAY QUARANTINE.
BOTH OF THE SHORTER QUARANTINE PERIODS COME WITH CONDITIONS, INCLUDING A NEGATIVE COVID TEST.
THE VOTE WAS FIVE TO ONE, WITH BOARD MEMBER MICKI HULST OPPOSED; SHE SAID “IF WE’RE SHORTENING THE QUARANTINE PERIOD, WE ARE DEFINITELY TAKING A RISK”.

THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, LAST WEEK, MET WITH MYLES HOGENSON FROM THE ROSEAU COUNTY TRAILBLAZERS,
WHO WAS SEEKING SUPPORT FOR A WARROAD TO BELTRAMI ISLAND STATE FOREST MULTI-USE TRAIL GRANT, AND WAS ASKING FOR A FINANCIAL COMMITMENT.
HOGENSON WAS ASKED WHO HE EXPECTS WILL USE THAT NEW TRAIL.
THE COUNTY BOARD PLEDGED TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS IN MATCHING MONEY FOR THAT GRANT APPLICATION.

 

STATE GUIDANCE RECENTLY INCREASED THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN AN INDOOR SPORTING VENUE FROM 150 TO 250.
