THE WARROAD DISCOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT HUB AND THE LAKE OF THE WOODS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WILL BE PART OF A NORTHWESTERN MINNESOTA ROUNDTABLE TODAY ON EFFORTS IN 2020 TO HELP REGIONAL ENTREPRENEURS.
THAT VIRTUAL EVENT IS HOSTED BY THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND LAUNCH MINNESOTA.

THAT’S AN INCREASE OF NINETEEN CASES IN THE PAST WEEK.
THE NUMBER OF NEW CASES HAS STEADILY FALLEN OVER THE PAST MONTH IN THE COUNTY, WITH A JUMP OF 308 CASES IN THE WEEK ENDED DECEMBER 6TH.
130 NEW CASES WERE ADDED IN THE SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER; THEN 43 NEW CASES THE WEEK ENDING DECEMBER 20TH; AND 32 NEW CASES FOR THE WEEK ENDING JUST AFTER CHRISTMAS.
THERE HAVE BEEN FOURTEEN COVID-RELATED DEATHS IN ROSEAU COUNTY; THAT’S TEN MORE THAN A MONTH AGO.

 

ROSEAU COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH IS WARNING OF COVID VACCINE SCAMS, WITH CALLERS TRYING TO GET PERSONAL OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. ROSEAU COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH SAYS COVID VACCINES ARE FREE, AND THAT THERE IS NO STATEWIDE SIGNUP LIST FOR THE VACCINE;
AND THAT PUBLIC HEALTH CASE INVESTIGATORS WILL NEVER ASK FOR CREDIT CARD OR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN A CONTACT TRACING CALL.

 

THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE SAYS GENERAL SIGNUP FOR THE CONSERVATION RESERVE PROGRAM STARTS TODAY, AND CONTINUES THROUGH FEBRUARY 12.
