THE ROSEAU COUNTY BOARD, THIS WEEK, ISSUED AN EMERGENCY DISASTER DECLARATION FOR STORM DAMAGE OVER THE PAST MONTH.
EMERGENCY MANAGER SUE GRAFSTROM SAID SIX TOWNSHIPS HAD MORE THAN THE MIMINUM THRESHOLD FOR MITIGATION OF FLOODING ISSUES.

 

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTED DONATIONS FROM PAM HETTEEN, JANE EVANS AND KARL MANUFACTURING TO THE RIVERVIEW PARK GAZEBO CONCERT FUND.

ONE OF THOSE GRANTS GOES TO INTERNATIONAL FALLS FOR A 22ND STREET BUSINESS PARK, EXPECTED TO CREATE TWENTY-TWO NEW JOBS.
INTERNATIONAL FALLS GETS 349 THOUSAND DOLLARS.
THE OTHER THREE CITIES RECEIVING GRANT DOLLARS ARE PEQUOT LAKES, WINSTED AND PRINCETON.

 

THE PERSONAL FINANCE WEBSITE WalletHub SAYS THE STATES WITH THE BEST TAXPAYER RETURN ON INVESTMENT ARE NEW HAMPSHIRE, FLORIDA AND SOUTH DAKOTA.
THAT’S BASED ON METRICS LIKE EDUCATION, HEALTH, INFRASTRUCTURE AND THE ECONOMY.
MINNESOTA IS 29TH AND NORTH DAKOTA 47TH ON THAT LIST.

DANIEL KIMBROUGH DIED IN LATE APRIL AFTER A THREE WEEK BATTLE WITH COVID-19; HE WAS 53.
