A Memorial service for Jeanne L. Glassmann of Roseau, MN will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Rose Free Lutheran Church in Roseau, MN Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jeanne Lynn Glassmann has traveled home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 18, 2020. She passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND with her daughters by her side.

Jeanne was born in Duluth, MN on March 21, 1954 to Louis and Lorraine Larson. She graduated from Bemidji High School in Bemidji, MN in 1972 and went on to obtain her Health and Physical Education degree from Bemidji State University in 1976. While attending college, Jeanne competed in track and field. She was later inducted into the BSU Track and Field Hall of Fame.

Jeanne married Robert Glassmann on June 7, 1975 in Bemidji. They had two daughters, Kristi and Laura. Jeanne taught Health and Physical Education at Roseau High School for many years. She was also the varsity track and field coach for many years. She continued to substitute teach and announce at home track meets following her retirement from teaching. Track and Field was a passion of hers and she enjoyed spreading general health and wellness to people of all ages.

Jeanne was a strong, independent, and caring woman involved in various organizations and groups. She was an active member at Rose Free Lutheran Church of Roseau. She was a group leader for EF (Education First), traveling to different parts of the world with groups of adults and students. She also enjoyed traveling and meeting up with friends for lunch or a movie on a regular basis and had just begun volunteering at LifeCare Medical Center. She and her husband spent much time at their cabin at Buffalo Point in Manitoba where she could be found on the beach or walking the trails with her cabin neighbors and family. She lived a healthy and active lifestyle and was very involved in the lives of the ones she loved, especially her daughters and their families. It was evident that family was Jeanne’s passion in life and her grandsons brought her immeasurable joy, and they adored her.

Jeanne is survived by her parents, Louis and Lorraine Larson; daughters Kristi Glassmann (Rob Jolly) of St. Louis, MO and Laura Fugleberg (Tim) of Roseau; grandsons Joey, Oliver, and Theo; brother Steve Larson; sister-in-law Sandi Sanky of MS; nieces and nephew Erin, Ashley, and Cody; and finally, beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, who, no doubt, welcomed her with wide open arms as she arrived at her final destination…and greatest one yet.
