Cleo F. Madoll of Salol passed away on February 28th, 2022 at the age of 76.

A Memorial Service for Cleo will be held at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad at 11:00am on Saturday, March 12th, 2022.

Cleon “Cleo” Faye Madoll (Furness) of Salol passed away at her home surrounded by family on February 28th, 2022 at the age of 76.

Cleo, a former resident of Clearlake, South Dakota was born in Brandt, South Dakota to Pedar and Clara (Westley) Furness on March 18th, 1945. After school she took classes over the years for accounting and bookkeeping. On September 16th, 1961, Cleo married Dewayne James Madoll in Clearlake, South Dakota. The two of them made their home around the Canby, MN area until 1977 when they moved up north to the Salol area. She started working at Marvin’s where she worked for 16 years. Cleo also worked payroll for Seven Clans Casino, the floral shop in town, and the Patch Motel.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling, camping, fishing, crafts, playing cards, dancing, and bowling which, she won 2 trophies in. The Eagles were also a big part of Cleo’s life where she was a Trustee and Auditor from 2006 to present day.

Cleo is survived by her husband Dewayne Madoll of Salol, MN; one daughter, Cindy (Bill Redner) Madoll of Hackensack, MN; two sons James (Linda Richter) Madoll and Wesley (Leslie McLean) Madoll both of Warroad, MN; 8 grandchildren, Theresa (Kurt) Thiemecke of Bemidji, MN, Garrett Johnson of Bemidji, MN, Nicole Redner of Verndale, Mn, Rustin (Caty) Redner of Bertha, MN, Cody Madoll of Roseau, MN, Ashley, Kelsey, and Devin Madoll of Salol, MN; Two sisters, Elenora Collins of Madison, MN and Verna Bendt of Brandon, SD; and 10 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, Pedar and Clara Furness; four brothers, Albert, Kenneth, Palmer, and Orland; five sisters, Myrtle, Pearl, Adeline, Clarice, and Norma.
