Private Graveside Services for Aleta Battles of Northome, MN and formerly of Roosevelt will be held at Silent City Cemetery in Roosevelt.

Aleta Joan Battles passed away peacefully on July 30, 2020 at the Wildwood Home in Northome, MN at the age of 85.

Aleta was born on March 25, 1935 in Roosevelt, MN to Mary (Fish) and Arthur H. Battles.  One of twelve children, Aleta grew up in Roosevelt area.  Because of a learning disability, she lived in several places, including the last 11 years at the Wildwood Home, a place that she very much enjoyed.

She had an amazing memory with dates and different facts.  She enjoyed cooking, animals and different crafts.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to look out for others and help clean up.  Blessed be her memory.

She is survived by her siblings, Laurence (Betty) Battles, David (Norma) Battles and Mary Friesner; and many other relatives; and the staff at Wildwood Home. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Lester, Evangeline Lewis, Howard, Harvey, Daisy Bjork, and three infant siblings.

Private graveside services will be held in the family plot at Silent City Cemetery in Roosevelt, MN.
